To commemorate this year’s International Women’s Day Under 40 CEOs in collaboration with Nakenohs Boulevard will be hosting its International Women’s Day MeetUp in Lagos on Sunday, 8th March, 2020.
The theme for this year is I Am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights.
The special guest is the Founder and CEO of SecureID, Mrs Kofo Akinkugbe who will be leading a conversation driven by her experience in founding, building and running a business as a woman in these climes.
Kofo Akinkugbe spent 12 years in banking, first at the International Merchant Bank (local affiliate of the First National Bank of Chicago) and then as a pioneer staff member of Chartered Bank (legacy bank of Stanbic IBTC). During this time, she received the British Government Chevening Scholarship to study for an MBA at the Strathclyde Graduate Business School, Scotland, UK.
She has since gone on to attend several Executive Programmes at the Lagos Business School, INSEAD, London Business School and is currently enrolled on the Owner/President Management course at the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.
Kofo founded Interface Technologies in 1998, SecureID Limited in 2005 and SecureCard Manufacturing in 2012. She currently serves as the Managing Director/CEO of SecureID Group (comprising of SecureID and SecureCard Manufacturing).
SecureID is a MasterCard, VISA and Verve certified Smartcard Personalization bureau and digital technology company whilst SecureCard Manufacturing is the first polycarbonate Smartcard manufacturing plant producing high security identity cards and documents for the Banks, Telecoms and Public sectors. Both companies, recognised and respected in the global Smartcard industry, provide high- end digital security solutions to organisations and governments across Africa and beyond.
