Uncomfortable truths are a catalyst for growth and for change. If you truly want to grow, you have to seek out things that make you uncomfortable and that offer you perspective.
More importantly, you have find perspectives that are derived from people who have lived them, experienced them and have taken the time to express them.
Nobody cares about your faults
While you stay up at night replaying all the embarrassing things you’ve done, no one else even remembers it.
It is easy to remember all the silly things you’ve done over the years. Try to remember the same for your friends and coworkers and you will notice that they do not come as easy. That’s because we don’t really dwell on the stumbles of others. They come and pass.
Instead of dwelling on these moments in your life, do like you do for others and move on!
Disappointment
Life is full of disappointment this happens to everyone and not just you alone. Disappointment more often than not leads to lost of trust because it happens just after you have trusted and you have gotten your hopes so high.
Love is not what we see in movies
Most times, real love does not happen the easy way we see it in the movie, it is beautiful as well ugly that sometimes it has to be given up or lost.
Death
This is probably the most uncomfortable truth as nobody wants to die young and the people that died, wish they didn’t at the time they did. We all want to grow old or better still live to a reasonable age but not all are going to achieve this.
Its difficult for people to accept you for you are
People are going to try to change you in one way or another, they are going to try and convince you to come to their church, join their football club and so on and sometimes we yield because acceptance it’s what we want somehow.
